As we prepare to say goodbye to 2023, we’re taking a look back at the most sung and most loved Sing King tracks of the year! Mics to the ready, this is our list of the 20 Biggest Karaoke Songs of 2023!

SZA – Kill Bill 

Singing this karaoke song is always the best idea! Deriving its title from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill films, this murder ballad explores SZA’s fantasy of killing an ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend out of jealousy. It’s extreme – but apparently very relatable to so many of us this year! 

Mayonnaise – Jopay 

We haven’t been able to get this OPM karaoke classic out of our heads, and neither could you! Inspired by Jopay Paguia-Zamora of the girl group, SexBomb Girls, Mayonnaise’s hit may have come out nearly two decades ago, but it’s virality on TikTok has resulted in a huge resurgence, with the tune now being enjoyed by Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences! 

Dilaw – Uhaw (Tayong Lahat)

Originally recorded by Filipino duo Dilaw, ‘Uhaw’ was a soft and minimalistic ballad exploring the desire for love. As the duo expanded into an indie sextet, the song underwent a transformation into a blues rock track and was re-released – catapulting the band into the mainstream, and becoming their signature song. Charting at number one on the Billboard Philippines Songs chart for ten consecutive weeks, this is a karaoke song that’s been gladly stuck in our heads all year!

Eslabon Armado, Peso Pluma – Ella Baila Sola

From its iconic trombone solo to its strumming guitars and Peso Pluma and Pedro Tovar’s contrasting vocals, ‘Ella Baila Sola’ is an instantly recognisable track that has gained significant  traction this year! After going viral on TikTok, this karaoke song achieved historic milestones, becoming the first regional Mexican song to reach the top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100 (peaking at number five). Additionally, it claimed the top spot on the Billboard Global 200, making it the first number-one single for a Mexican artist on this chart!

South Border – Rainbow

This song is exactly what we think a rainbow would sound like! Featured as the theme from the 2003 Filipino comedy-drama film, Crying Ladies, South Border’s ‘Rainbow’ is a timeless R&B hit that’s the perfect laid back, feel-good karaoke track. 

Olivia Rodrigo – vampire

Move over Edward Cullen, this year’s been all about Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘vampire’! Her highly-anticipated comeback single, ‘vampire’ took the internet by storm, topping charts and winning the 2023 MTV Video Music Award for Best Editing. With its alluring gothic themes and dramatic vocal runs, this is a pop rock karaoke track we’ve been bleedin’ dry, like a goddamn vampire!

SunKissed Lola – Pasilyo

Topping the Billboard Philippines Songs chart, SunKissed Lola made history as the first Filipino band to lead the chart. With its pop sound infused with jazz rock elements, soulful melody, and romantic lyrics, this song is the ultimate feel-good sing-along!

FIFTY FIFTY – Cupid (Twin Ver.)

Going viral on TikTok with the sped-up version of ‘Cupid’, FIFTY FIFTY’s hit achieved commercial success, with the group becoming the fastest K-pop act to debut on the US Billboard Hot 100, as well as becoming the first K-pop girl group to enter the top 10 of the UK Official Singles Chart! Upbeat and simplistic, this catchy karaoke number gets the whole squad singing.  

Mahalini – Sial

Previous Indonesian Idol contestant Mahalini’s debut studio album, Fábula, has seen success this year, but it’s her song ‘Sial’ in particular that stands out! Showcasing her vocal talents, this piano-led pop ballad reflects on heartbreak and the pain of misplaced trust in a lover, making for a touching karaoke moment.

Westlife – My Love

You evidently LOVE Westlife’s ‘My Love’, as it’s made its way onto our list of the 20 Biggest Karaoke Songs of 2023! A 00s classic from the powerhouse Irish boyband’s second studio album, Coast to Coast, this signature pop ballad was the UK’s 35th best-selling single of 2000 and took home ‘The Record of the Year’ award in the same year. 

Up Dharma Down – Tadhana 

All about the fear of falling for someone at an unexpected time, Up Dharma Down’s indie ballad features vocalist Armi Millare’s emotional belts and poetic pleads. This is a captivating karaoke song that we keep finding ourselves returning to. 

Laufey – From The Start

The breakaway single from Icelandic singer Laufey’s second studio album, Bewitched, ‘From The Start’ is currently the most streamed jazz song in the world! All about unrequited love for a friend, this is an upbeat karaoke song with relatable lyrics.

 Rockstar – Mahal Pa Rin Kita

Joining our list of the 20 Biggest Karaoke Songs of 2023 is another Pinoy classic: Rockstar’s ‘Mahal Pa Rin Kita’. Following someone who is struggling to move on from a lost love, this song’s heartfelt and emotional lyrics demand to be belted out. 

David Kushner – Daylight

American singer-songwriter David Kushner’s eagerly anticipated single, ‘Daylight’, became a viral hit this year, peaking at number two on the UK Official Singles Chart and earning him his first top 10 single. Inspired by Paul the Aposle’s teachings and biblical allusions that Kushner found inspirational as a child, this orchestral pop ballad makes for a pensive and soulful karaoke number. 

Billie Eilish – What Was I Made For?

Appearing on the Barbie movie soundtrack, Billie had us in our feels again with ‘What Was I Made For?’.  Another collaboration with her brother, Finneas, this poignant karaoke pop ballad was a worldwide hit, especially on TikTok – birthing the meme version ‘Although Enjoyment’ (we’re not sure we’re gonna be able to stop singing it this way!)

Zelle – Sabihin 

An emotional, passionate song you can belt-out is always a karaoke go to, and this year was no exception – with Zelle’s ‘Sabihin’ making it onto our listicle! Addressing an absent lover, performing this song is all about singing your heart out! 

Jennelyn Yabu – Labis na Nasaktan 

Competing in a Korean singing competition, Topgoal Rhapsody, Filipino singer Jennelyn Yabu went viral singing ‘Labis na Nasaktan’. Offering the chance to showcase your vocal chops, this is a moving ballad that’s a brilliant show stopping karaoke performance. 

Pink Pantheress, Ice Spice – Boy’s a liar Pt. 2 

If this song doesn’t get you dancing, you’re a liar! A TikTok favourite, PinkPantheress and Ice Spice took the world by storm with ‘Boy’s a liar Pt. 2’,  earning both artists their  first top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Global 200 charts (peaking at number three). With its infectious lyrics and Jersey Club beat, this song’s vibes are perfect for any karaoke party!

Krissy & Ericka – 12:51

The first official single from Filipino pop-acoustic duo, Krissy & Ericka, ‘12:51’ was written by Krissy at exactly 12:51, taking 2 years to finish. With lyrics about moving on after a relationship comes to an end, this heartfelt ballad proves just as popular for karaoke over ten years since its release. 

Miley Cyrus – Flowers 

Breaking the Spotify record for the most streamed song in a week, ‘Flowers’ is one of the hottest hits of the year – making it no surprise that it’s one of our Biggest Karaoke Songs of 2023! The lead single of Miley’s eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, this groovy break-up song was the self-love anthem we NEEDED in 2023! So much so that over 7.7M of you just can’t stop singing-along!
