In case you couldn’t tell, we’ve got the number 10 million on the brain. That’s because we just hit the 10 million subscriber mark over on our YouTube channel. That’s a whole lot of you singing it your way, all day every day. To mark the occasion, we’re running through 10 tracks that have had over 10 million plays on Sing King. Legends only! This is the elite 10 mil club.
Kicking things off in style is everyone’s favourite pop star, Ed Sheeran. And we couldn’t think of a more ‘Perfect’ song to start our list (see what we did there?)
‘All Of Me’ has it all. John Legend’s smooth vocals crooning, hopelessly romantic lyrics, and a spectacular music video to boot, with real life husband and wife, Chrissy Teigan and John Legend. This is one of most watched videos of all time, which means there sure are a lot of you bringing out the big guns when it comes to romantic karaoke ballads. Who’s crying? We’re not crying.
The song that’s been sung what must be billions of times the world over, Frozen’s ‘Let It Go’ is a modern classic earworm. In fact it’s been sung so many times by kids, that it’s now the parents that are imploring them to ‘let it gooooo, let it gooooooo, turn away and slam the door’.
4. Celine Dion – My Heart Will Go On
Coming in at number 4 is the diva herself, Celine Dion, with ‘My Heart Will Go On’. Near, far, wherever we are, we will be crushing hard on Leo Di Caprio in Titanic. Are we right?! The 1997 epic movie spawned an even more epic theme tune, which you guys are singing in your millions. The film may be 25 years old, but this song is sounding as fresh as ever.
5. Christina Perri – A Thousand Years
The Twilight army are still clearly going strong, if the viewer numbers for our next track, ‘A Thousand Year’ by Christina Perri are anything to go by. Taken from the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn soundtrack, this is one of our biggest hits on the channel.
6. Lewis Capaldi – Someone You Loved
National treasure Lewis Capaldi has it all. A cracking sense of humour. A golden voice. And massive hits like this one, ‘Someone You Loved’. The BRIT Award song of the year, this 2018 classic makes our top 10 tracks with over 10 million views.
Let’s hear it for Danish group Lukas Graham, who are our lucky number 7 with their track ‘7 Years’. This soulful hit sees the band reflecting on their life and wondering about growing older. Nostalgia from ages 7, 11, and 20 are explored before the band goes on to wonder about their life in the possible future; specifically, when they’re 30 or 60, or when they have kids or a wife. Clearly you guys are into gazing into your crystal balls, as over 10 million of you have sung along to the future wonderings.
8. Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper – Shallow (A Star Is Born)
For all those out there who are partial to the odd karaoke duet or five, we’ve got just the thing for you. Taken from the remake of A Star Is Born, ‘Shallow’ is the runaway hit by stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. The chemistry was so undeniable when they filmed this movie that the pair set tongues wagging. Now go set the karaoke booth on fire with this gorgeous duet!
Altogether now, “I can see your halo, halo, halooooo”. The lyrics to this Beyoncé mega hit are so ubiquitous, we bet most of you don’t even need the lyric video! But seeing as we’re in the lyric video business, we thought we’d make it for you anyway. We’re good like that, aren’t we?
10. Elvis Presley – Can’t Help Falling In Love
Last but certainly not least is The King himself, Mr Elvis Presley with his all time iconic track, ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’. The song sung at wedding ceremonies the world over, karaoke tracks don’t get much more romantic than this. So grab your mic, grab your partner or your bestie and get ready to serenade!
